PAVER - Batch File Creation Web Submission Tool

Creates batch files for running GAMS batch runs. Users submit a textfile with models they wish to run, select certain options, and receive the batch file via e-mail. For use with any GAMS system. Batch files are system independent and can be used on Windows or UNIX machines.

For a complete description of the GAMS routine used to see Creating Automated Batch Run Files.

Remark:  Model files can include models with or without filename extensions, but must include only a single model per line. Model files with file extensions other than .gms must be entered with the file extension. If file extensions are omitted, GAMS assumed .gms extensions by default.

Quick Start:

  1. Download the sample model file:
  2. Go to PAVER - Batch File Creation Web Submission Tool and following the instructions given, submitting the model file downloaded in Step 1.
  3. A GAMS batch file (batch.gms) will be sent via e-mail.
  4. If you have all models in the same directory as the batch file, you can run the batch file as:
  5.       >> gams batch.gms
Performance data will be collected in the trace file the user specified during input to the PAVER utility. Once several trace files have been created, each with solve information for a different solver on the same model test set, they can be submitted to the PAVER - Performance Analysis Web Submission Tool.
